Diesel and Dust

Midnight Oil · Alternative Rock

Recorded at Albert Studios in Sydney with producer Warne Livesey, Diesel and Dust grew directly out of Midnight Oil's 1986 Blackfella/Whitefella Tour through remote Indigenous Australian communities with the Warumpi Band and Gondwanaland; the resulting concept album about Aboriginal land rights and environmental justice topped the Australian charts for six weeks and was later ranked #13 on Rolling Stone's 100 best albums of the 1980s.
