Disintegration

The Cure · Gothic Rock/Post-Punk/Dream Pop

Recorded at Hookend Recording Studios in Oxfordshire in late 1988/early 1989 with co-producer David M. Allen, Disintegration became The Cure's highest-charting and best-selling album to date, driven by Robert Smith's deliberate turn back toward the dense, atmospheric gloom of Pornography/Faith after the poppier Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, and produced the band's highest-ever US hit single, 'Lovesong' (a wedding gift from Smith to his wife Mary).
