Faith
The Cure · Gothic Rock/Post-Punk
Recorded at Morgan Studios in London from September 1980 to March 1981 with producer Mike Hedges, Faith is the bleak, atmospheric middle chapter of The Cure's early 'dark trilogy' between Seventeen Seconds and Pornography, built around Simon Gallup's cavernous bass and Lol Tolhurst's minimal drumming, and it reached No. 14 on the UK Albums Chart off the strength of the single 'Primary.'
