Pornography

The Cure · Gothic Rock/Post-Punk

Recorded at RAK Studios in London from January to April 1982 with new producer Phil Thornalley amid heavy drug use and band infighting that nearly split the group, Pornography is the bleak, claustrophobic culmination of The Cure's early gothic phase, peaking at No. 8 on the UK Albums Chart and closing out the trilogy that began with Seventeen Seconds and Faith.
