Seven and the Ragged Tiger
Duran Duran · New Wave/Synth-pop
Recorded as tax exiles across a mobile studio truck on France's Cote d'Azur, AIR Studios in Montserrat, and Studios 301 in Sydney between April and October 1983, Seven and the Ragged Tiger became Duran Duran's first UK No. 1 album despite sessions marred by band tension, and its Nile Rodgers remix of 'The Reflex' -- suggested by John Taylor after hearing Rodgers' work on INXS's 'Original Sin' -- became the band's first US No. 1 single.
