Written and recorded quickly at Le Studio in Morin-Heights, Canada in mid-1984 as a hurried follow-up to Let's Dance, Tonight leaned heavily on Iggy Pop covers and a Tina Turner duet on the title track, topping the UK Albums Chart despite containing just two original Bowie compositions, 'Loving the Alien' and 'Blue Jean.'
