Touch
Eurythmics · Synth-pop
Recorded in 1983 at The Church studio in London, Touch was Dave Stewart's first album credited as sole producer, a milestone that launched his later career producing for the Rolling Stones, Beatles alumni and Tom Petty. It entered the UK chart at #8 and climbed to #1 in its eleventh week, becoming Eurythmics' first chart-topping album, with orchestral arrangements by Michael Kamen adding warmth to the duo's minimalist synth-pop sound. All three singles ('Who's That Girl?', 'Right by Your Side', 'Here Comes the Rain Again') reached the UK top 10, and the album went platinum in both the UK and US.
