Rosanne Cash (born May 24, 1955, in Memphis, Tennessee) is an American singer-songwriter and author, the eldest daughter of country legend Johnny Cash and his first wife Vivian Liberto. She began recording in the late 1970s and became a major country-pop crossover star of the 1980s, blending country with rock and pop textures under producer (and then-husband) Rodney Crowell. Her 1981 album Seven Year Ache, featuring the number-one title single, established her as a leading voice in the 'young country' movement; she went on to score eleven No. 1 Billboard country singles through the decade, including four from 1987's King's Record Shop.
