Talk Talk were an English band formed in London in 1981 by Mark Hollis (vocals, guitar, piano), Lee Harris (drums), Paul Webb (bass), and Simon Brenner (keyboards). Initially a synth-pop group, they scored international hits with It's My Life (1984) before evolving toward the acclaimed, more organic sound of The Colour of Spring (1986), and then pioneering what became known as post-rock with the experimental Spirit of Eden (1988). Hollis retired from music after 1998 and died in 2019.
