Released in 1982 as Trouble Funk's only album for Sugar Hill Records and the very first go-go record the label ever put out, Drop the Bomb captured the raw, percussive Washington D.C. go-go sound with 'Pump Me Up' and the title track becoming foundational breakbeats for early hip-hop DJs and later electro/rap productions.
