Whodini's self-titled Jive Records debut was largely tracked at German synth-pop pioneer Conny Plank's own studio near Cologne, with Thomas Dolby producing the breakthrough single 'Magic's Wand' -- the first hip-hop song ever to get its own music video -- fusing Brooklyn rap with European electro production years ahead of most of the genre.
